Approach
PSYCHOTHERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES AND FAMILIES
The choice of whom to work with in individual or couples counselling is incredibly important and I welcome you to the most important step – deciding to get the help and support to make the change you need in your life. Counselling couples, families and individuals for over ten years gives me the experience to provide my clients with support, encouragement and guidance.
My goal is to empower my clients to improve their emotional well-being, enhance their ability to engage in healthy interpersonal relationships and to provide them with the tools necessary to live their best lives. I facilitate a safe therapeutic space understanding unique cultural and familial backgrounds, in which my clients can explore their relational patterns and develop achievable goals.
Often clients seek help when they are experiencing distress and are feeling overwhelmed. My specialties include working with individuals and couples who are successful in many aspects of their lives, but want to improve their relationships, career or work dynamics, or are seeking support in dealing with life transitions, loss, depression or anxiety.

My role is to support my clients in finding and creating more happiness, peace and cultivating healthy relationships while respecting and understanding their unique cultures, upbringing and backgrounds. My goal is to help each of my clients build on their personal strengths to feel more fulfilled, balanced and positive.
But training and experience are not enough. Your choice in therapist is highly personal and you will benefit the most when you feel a natural personal connection with the person you work with. My own style is human, warm and deeply non-judgmental. I work in an active, engaged way and will encourage you to take risks or challenge old beliefs and behaviours. I also believe that one size does not fit all.
My approach to treatment is always informed by what you want most from therapy and how you feel most comfortable getting there. I often work with a blend of relational approaches, acceptance and compassion based cognitive therapy, narrative techniques, and aspects of Buddhist psychology. I invite you to contact me if you are looking for assistance with a specific problem and/or would like to find out more detailed information about my experience and background.
